The passing of James Rockel Sr.

  
 
James Rockel Sr. passed away October 7, 2008 in his home at the age of 53.  Currently James was working for the South Whitehall Township water, sewer and traffic department. Prior to that, he worked at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Stanley G. and Nila Ann Rockel.

James was a volunteer firefighter for 35 years serving at both Woodlawn Fire Company as well as Cetronia Fire Company.  James was the assistant fire chief for 16 years at Cetronia Fire Company.

 

 

 

  
  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday morning at Cedar Lutheran Church [3419 Broadway, Allentown]. Calling hour will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Monday in the church.

Arrangements by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Cetronia Fire Company [18 S. Scenic St., Allentown, PA 18104].
